Best places to Spot Celebrities in Mumbai

Mumbai is a place where stars not only shine in the sky but are also around us hanging out at random places. Well the places are not quite random though.  If you have a dream to see and meet celebrities, here are some of the places where you can definitely spot them.. 

1.  JW Marriott Hotel (Juhu)

If you visit JW Mariiot at Juhu and do not find a celebrity hanging out, you have a really bad day. Even a walk around the lobby or the pool area may get you a glance of some famous stars you dream to meet. Deepika Padukone, Sir Amitabh Bachhan, Ashwaria Rai, Mahesh Bhatt, Karan Singh Grover, Shahrukh Khan are just a few stars to name who loves this place. 

2.  Prithvi Theatre (Juhu)

This place has a history of seeing celebrities that date backs to the Black & White time.  Go here for a play or just for coffee at their café and you can spot many actors big and small. This place is favorite to Imtiyaz Ali, Nawazuddin Siddique, Kalki Koechlin, Aamir Khan, Mahesh  Bhatt and so many theater loving actors and directors. If you can get an entry during Prithvi festival, then you get a 360 degree panorama view of them around. 

3.  Olive Bar & Kitchen (Khar West)

This place has a renowned track record in terms of spotting celebrities. Film stars visit this place so often that if you are at this place at anytime in the evening, you will get a glimpse of atleast one film star if not many. Katrina Kaif,  Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kangana Ranaut, Irrfan Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, Sonam Kapoor, Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Varun Dhawan, Kalki Koechlin, Madhuri Dixit, Karan Johar, Huma Qureshi, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and are just a few other names we could fit here.

4.  Lane Opp Iskcon (JUHU)

You can visit ISKCON and pray for a lucky day before entering this lane right opposite the temple. ‘Sunny Super Sound’ a studio owned by the Deol brothers is right here along with houses of hundreds of starts around. Shilpa Shetty Kundra also stays in one of the bunglows here. 

5.  PVR (Juhu) & PVR (Versova)

Ever wondered where the celebrities go to watch movies, Just drive to Juhu or Versova PVR and you can spot some of the film stars and celebrities in the movie theater. If you have good luck one of them can come and sit next to you. If you day is so lucky, then just go outside and buy a Lottery ticket.  Alia Bhatt, Arjun Kapoor and Varun Dhawan Sonam Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, Anushka Sharma are regular at these theater. Grab your Popcorn Tub and wait for your luck guys.

6.  Dhirubai Ambani Hospital (Versova)

This might sound very odd but yes, if you desperately want to see a celebrity, this is one of the best place to see them. They come here to meet other celebrities who are admitted for some kind of medical issues. So if any one of them or even old actors are ill, you can see atleast 10 of the celebrities here to see them. Wait at the reception area of this hospital in the evening around 5 to 7. You will see few for sure.

7.  CCD (Lokhandwala)

There is no actor in TV who has never visited this coffee shop, trust me this is not an overstatement. You will believe me when you go there. It is crowded with TV actors and producers(rarely popular). If you breathe television and are fond of Saas Bahu drama the you can come at this Coffee shop. At any given time you will see 5 actors, 2 producers, 10 technicians and atleast 20 strugglers if not more. 

8.  Taj Lands End (Bandra West)

You just can’t go wrong with this one. This hotel has few restaurants which has seen celebrities dine regularly.  It is close to houses of top celebrities of Bollywood. So go there to dine late evening, and eat slow. You will spot a celebrity dining at a nearby table.

Shah Rukh Khan is known to dine with family at the chinese restaurant there, other than him, John Abraham, Shahid Kapoor, Sonam kapoor, Abhishek Bachhan, Aishwarya Rai, Tabu, Malika Arora Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Rekha are frequent there.

9.  Siddhivinayak Temple (Prabhadevi)

First the temple makes them famous, and then they make the temple famous. This perfect give and take relation between Siddhivinayak temple and Celebrities has made this place a perfect place to spot celebs of B Town. Be it The great Bachchans,  Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit, Rani Mukerji, Karan Johar Deepika Padukone, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, or Sanjay Dutt, every actor has to come here frequently. Its their bonding with god you see.

10, Gold’s Gym (Andheri West)

This is a Very famous Gym with Televison Celebrities. There are hundreds of wannabes also working out here, you will have to spot our real celebrities out of them. Head to gold gym and stay there to get a glance. 

11.  Dhirubhai Ambani International School (Bandra )

Most of the celebrity’s children study at this school these days. Out of love they come to drop them frequently.  Be there at the school starting and shutting time and you can spot so many of them in the traffic jam around parking area.

12 Leaping Windows (Versova)

This Café at Yari Road is bulls eye. They have story reading sessions here. Bejoy Nambiar, Imtiyaz Ali, Karan Singh Grover, Bipasha Basu, Deepshikha, Kapil Sharma Rajkummar Rao, Anurag Kashyap, Kalki Koechlin, are among those spotted here frequently.

13. Indigo Café (Andheri West)

From Tv strugglers to celebrities, this place is a regular hang out place for them in the day time. You can see them sipping coffee and listening to music all day. Chances of not spotting any here is scare. Try visiting this place around 6 to 8pm and try your luck. Even of you don’t see them, the coffee is amazing. Feel like a star and go ahead on a coffee date with yourself.

14. The St Regis Mumbai (Lower Parel)

Celebrity wedding receptions and Star dinners happen here every weekend. You should be really hungry to eat for a hell lot of time here afterall waiting for celebrities needs patience.  Book a table and be ready to spot atleast one of them at The St Regis Mumbai, Lower Parel this weekend.

15. The four seasons (Lower Parel)

One of the popular hangouts is the Aer Lounge, One of the most popular places where you can spot new celebrities drinking wine and dancing to their favorite songs. You need to go there late in the night to spot them. Entry fee is high and drink is expensive but come on, you  can spend that much to meet your favorite stars and for a good selfie.

16.  Bandstand Promenade (Bandra West)

This place is a perfect blend of sea and Stars. Go there for a walk, you will find number of houses of top celebs there. Few of them also come out for walk or cycling. Chances are bright that you can see them. Popular Film starts like SRK, SK, JuniorAB, Kapoors and the Shroff have houses nearby. So grab a sweet corn down the promenade and wait for the stars to show up.

17.  Juhu Beach (Juhu)

Some of the active films stars like Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty, Ajay Devgan and Tiger Shroff come here early in the morning for real workout and action practice. If you want to see them then get active and set your morning alarms.

18.  Film City (Goregaon East)

Really! Do I need to mention this to you? Starts shine only when they work hard. This studio is filled with stars be it day or night.  Book a guided tour to Filmcity, be there for 2 full hours, visit studios, keep your eyes open and ofcouse pray hard.  You will see your favorite film star here for sure.
