Goa In Monsoons – Perfect Vacation!

“Rainy days should be spent at home with a cup of tea and a good book.” He who said this, has never been to Goa in monsoons. Goa has all the right reasons to pull you out of your city chaos and wet you with fun. Here are just few of them
1. Travel cost! – You kidding?

You need to check this yourself. Just search air tickets to Goa in monsoon. Be strong! You may fall from shock. It is not even 30% of what you pay in other season. Even bus fare drops to half in monsoon. Isn’t it an important reason to travel to Goa in monsoon.
2. Accommodation! – Again kidding?

Reach Goa in monsoon and stay in the best of hotels for dirt cheap prices. You can check and book it online or can negotiate when you reach there. Don’t worry, hotels are never full. People are not as smart as we are.
3. Carving for private moments?. Hmmm!

For couples who has tons of fantasies of romance by the beach. Come here in monsoon and the beach is yours. Do I need to explain you further?
4. Dudhsagar Falls – I have seen it all

If you have seen the mighty Dudhsagar falls in monsoon, you are now above everything else in this world. The way to falls might be closed in heavy rains but you will find local bikers who take you there for Rs. 400/-. It is illegal though but ‘is fun ever legal’. What say?
5. Rent-a-bike – Almost free

Get wet in rains this season. Hire a bike for Rs. 150/- per day and ride to every corner of Goa. If you are with your soul mate, you are likely to not feel cold too!
6. Celebrate Monsoon – Festival time!

It is not the carnival friends, its the joy of many festivities like; fertility feast of Sao Joao, celebrated on the 24th of June, the festival of St Peter in July that’s celebrated by erecting floating stages in the rivers and various cultural programs. Divar island gets ready for the famous Bonderam Festival. The festival begins with a vibrant parade with multi coloured flags and the entire island comes alive with performances by famous local bands.
7. I like Peaceful lunch. Do you?

Yes, you’ll get it at any other time of the year as well but the fishes are the freshest in Goa during monsoon plus you can take your own time in eating without the waiter with ‘eat fast, others waiting’ look. Think deep about the fish’s adventure journey from sea to your platter and eat peacefully.
8. Beauty of Forts – Castles rather!

With every part blooming green in monsoon, the forts are to its fullest beauty in monsoon. You can spend hours mesmerizing the scenic view of beaches and sea from the forts. The Portuguese have gone, isn’t that fort yours now?
9. Is Goa only about beaches?

Naah! The wildlife sanctuaries are definitely the best places to visit in Goa in monsoon. Unlike other places, the reserves here are open throughout the year and to witness fresh, green and pristine milieu washed in the rain is an experience you just can’t miss.
10. The Vanilla Plant. Smells good

The spice plantation is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Goa during monsoon that can reached through a serene drive along the verdant valley and tropical forests. Don’t miss to see the vanilla plant, it’s my favorite.
11. Midnight Rains!. Isn’t it romantic

For people who are crazy for romance Goa will give you amazing background score during midnight rains. Rains falling on your balcony shed and drops on your window panes will ignite romance. If I explain further, the genre of this article will change. I must stop here.

Be confident on choosing your destination to Goa this monsoon. You will come back and suggest others too..
