Nightlife in BHUTAN – Lets Rock the Party!!


Nightlife in Bhutan is one that is not explored by everyone since the image of this tiny country is overshadowed by its monasteries. Yet, it leaves no stone unturned. After visiting the calm monasteries, you’ve got to visit Paro & Thimphu town for a hearty dose of Bhutan’s nightlife.
1. Mojo Park

There are live bands performing brilliant music from around 7 pm to late into the night, and to top it, delicious American and Bhutanese cuisine served along with local creations of drinks. Nightlife in Bhutan doesn’t get better!

2. Vivacity

This club offers a range of great food, music and dance. You can dance to the tunes of music genres of hip hop, rock, reggae, and rap. The highlight is the comfortable lounge that you can spend the evening in to relax and socialize. Ladies will again get free entry on Wednesdays.

3. Tashi Tagay Drayang

Here traditional attire and cultural Bhutanese dances will be presented all evening with song requests made by visitors in exchange of tips ranging from 100 Ngultrums to 500 Ngultrums. Drayangs are usually hard to find, but once inside, you can relax with a drink in hand and experience Bhutanese culture, music, dance, and food.

4. Club K

The cool thing is how the owner of Club K also plays the role of the bouncer here. It is a posh and hi-fi venue with sophisticated companions. The party begins at 12 midnight and lasts for around 2.5 hours. Wednesday has free entry for ladies.

5. Millennium Club

You can find live local band shows and traditional Bhutanese performances here. This club is open only on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Find yourself in the local company of good drinks. A must see place in Paro when in Bhutan.

6. Club Ace

It can be considered one of the best places for nightlife in Bhutan where you can meet up young locals and have a chat. Youth symbolizes energy and this place keeps up that passionate spirit all night with pumping electronic music, mirrored dance floor, and great lighting.

7. Space 34

Popular pop and EDM beats of American, Korean, Bhutanese are played all through the evening and sometimes in the night live bands and karaoke are performed. People flock in large numbers here to hit the floor and socialize. They have very flexible timings and free entry for ladies on Wednesdays.

8. Cum Bars

Do you want to get to know locals and talk about their lives in Bhutan? Do it here. Even the most shy people of Bhutan will become your greatest of friends. The atmosphere will be simple with a couple of wooden benches, some local liquor, and a homely old lady to attend to you. Just look out for boards that say Restaurant Cum Bar

9. Uma Paro Bar

The Zone has a very unassuming entrance, but once you're inside you feel like you are in some English pub. The football posters and TVs tuned in to sports channels makes that evident. There is a big sofa cum chairs on the left hand side if you have a big group or you can chill on the other tables on the right hand side which are meant so seat 4 people per table. There is outdoor seating as well, if it is raining then the outdoor area is shut.

10. Zest Bar and Lounge

With the memorial Chorten and breathtaking views of the city on offer here, this bar is well stocked and has a friendly staff. The consistently good service is definitely the icing on the cake.The elite people of Bhutan visit the bar when they want to have a drink or two. So join them!

11. Uma Paro Bar

Providing a relaxing environment, it has friendly and warm staff. You will enjoy the company of both locals and tourists at this beautifully designed venue. Uma Paro is a great place for drinks and their special ‘Kahlua’, espresso, Baileys, and tequila. They also offer a range of Shambhala detoxifying snacks.
