Thailand is much more and much beyond Boom Boom, Massages, Booze and Thai curry!. Only few things cannot keep tourism flowing from over countless decades, there has to be more. We go there, spend nice time and return back without knowing what was it that made our trip amazing. Lets sit back and realize the best things about Thailand that we have felt but not made a note of,

1.   Hua Hin Beach

This beach is one of the popular beaches in the world. Crystal clear water, white sand and a clean beach is all that is needed for a quiet vacation. However this tagline makes the beach quite crowded, and is always bustling with people!

2.   Hospitality

Thailand is famous for its beaches, but the one thing tourists love about this nation are its people. Thai people are among the friendliest in the world, with many locals going out of the way to help others, especially tourists! So if you decide to head there next time, know there’s always help around the corner!

3.   Tuk –tuk

Thai people love travelling by this and it has caught on with tourists as well! Tuk tuks are the most popular means of travelling around the country. Similar to cabs, they are more convenient to travel through the small by-lanes of the cities. However, nowadays many tuk-tuk drivers might lure you to using their tuk-tuk over others, so proceed with caution!

4.   Floating Markets

A cannot-miss experience, shopping from floating markets is a sight to behold! A glimpse into the way how locals live, these markets sell everything from vegetables to groceries and even prepared local dishes! These makeshift markets set up in the small waterways that Thailand is dotted with every evening and morning. Fresh produce to flowers, these floating markets have it all! 

5.   Spas

The concept of an Oriental Thai spa is one of Thailand’s most famous cultural export. Professional and warm Thai staff and relaxing concoctions and massages make this an once-in-a-lifetime experience. These spas have caught the eye of the world, so much that most major cities around the world have Thai spas, mostly set up by Thais themselves!

The Chatuchak Weekend Market is a shopper’s paradise. From everything such as vintage items, to utensils and apparel, this place has everything anyone might need! The only thing you need there is bargaining skills and street sense and you’re good to go! Anyone who wants to make the most of this market should arrive by 9 am to get the best of the place!

7. Nightlife and Red Light Areas

Swanky bars, rooftop discos and dozens of nightclubs full of people, Thailand has emerged as one of the leading destinations for anyone who wants to party all night! Clubbers in Thailand are spoilt for choice – there is at least one nightclub in every major street, especially on Khao San Road and Soi Ranbuttri.

For those looking for some adult themed fun, Thailand is the place. Over the years, it has become internationally famous for its red light areas. Soi Cowboy, Nana Plaza and Patpong are known all over the world for its famous nightly pleasures on offer. From bar to rooms, and exclusive shows – there is something for every adult eye. Places called go go bars start off at 7 and stay open till 4 in the morning. For those looking for some adult adventures, this is one place you must visit!

Thailand’s most popular tourist attraction, Tiger Temple is a different world in itself. Tigers that roam openly in the premises, being raised by monks is a sight you can see only here. If tigers are living peacefully, elephants are living in an adventure! Places like Ayutthaya, Pattaya, and Bangkok regularly feature action packed stunts all performed by elephants! Bike riding, dancing, shooting hoops and playing instruments, this will certainly give anyone a kick!

Koh Kret is an artificial island made 300 years ago! A one day trip from Bangkok, this place is happening during the weekend! From shopping to clubs and a weekend market, it is a fun-packed experience, and one you will never forget!

11.                 Vianmek Teak Mansion

Anyone who goes to Thailand, must visit this beauty. The world’s largest golden teak mansion, this place is a sight to behold. A beautiful testament to Thai architecture, this mansion is an example of the accomplishments of the Thai people. 12.                 Wat Arun

A temple in Bangkok, Wat Arun’s riverside location makes this place the most stunning attraction in Bangkok. Sunrise and sunset are the best times to visit this spiritual wonder. 13.                 Chinatown

Chinatown in Thailand sounds a bit off, but it is amazing. Delicious street food at cheap rates, you must try them once! The level of excitement is best during the Chinese New Year. This should be at the top of your list when in Thailand.

Any trip to Thailand is incomplete if you do not visit Pattaya. A full stretch of white beaches with turquoise waters, this is paradise.

This place in one the largest aquariums in Asia, and provides a fresh respite from Bangkok’s hot outdoors. Prices may be steep but this is the closest most will get to witnessing sea creatures at large! One of Bangkok’s most visited attractions, this is one place you must visit while in Bangkok.

17.                 Lumpini Park

Bangkok’s Central Park, this place is the largest park in the city. Lush and green, it is a respite from the bustle of the city. Artificial lake, walk paths and lush green open spaces are what make this park an oasis in the concrete jungle.

18.                 The Grand Palace

Grand doesn’t even begin to describe the beauty of this palatial complex. The top tourist attraction in all of Thailand, this is where Thailand’s cultural tour starts. It has played an important part in the country’s history. The reverence the Thais show towards the palace and the Royal Family stand testament to it. A definite must see, it is worth the awe.

19.                 Khao San Road

A backpackers paradise and a tourist spot, Khao San Road is where Bangkok meets the world. Colorful and full of life, it is one place you could wander in for hours. All kinds of treasure can be found here, from books to souvenirs, you can get it all here, in one neighborhood!

20.Street Food Stalls

Bangkok and Thailand, the best way to experience both is through its cuisine. The best way to do that is to try the street food. Bangkok is filled with streets that are lined up with vendor selling their fares. Grilled fish, shrimp and soups are bound to bring out your new found love for the city and you’ll leave with a special place for Thai food in your heart!
