These diverse forest types shelter a
wide range of flora and fauna elements. Eighteen varieties of rhododendrons
transform the landscape into a colour palette during spring time. The diversity
of birds is equally rich with many rare and endemic birds like the
Rusty-bellied Shortwing, Snow Partridge, Blood Pheasant, Rufous-vented Yuhina
and Pallas Fish Eagle. This rich diversity of flora and fauna makes this trek ideal
for nature lovers and bird watchers.
Route : Hilley → Linedara → Fanglakha → Hee Bermiok → Gangtok / NJP
Best Season : Mid March to April is the best period to enjoy the blooming rhododendrons. Mid October to mid December is excellent for mountain views.

Ideal Itinerary for 5 Days
Day 1 - Hilley
Pickup
from Bagdogra / NJP / Gangtok and drive to trek base village Hilley.
Day 2 - Linedara
Trek
for 4 hours through Barsey to reach Linedara.
Day 3 - Fanglakha
Trek
for 4 hours through to reach Fanglakha.
Day 4 - Hee Bermiok
Trek
for 3 hours through to reach Hee Bermiok.
Day 5 - Gangtok / NJP
Drive
from Hee Bermiok to Gangtok or NJP for your connections.
Trek Grade : This trek is graded as Easy.
These trips are suitable for
beginners; some suitable for kids. Family and small groups can enjoy these
trips as the hikes are not very lengthy. These treks may be up to 5 days of
walking with about 4hrs (avg) of walking each day. You will agree that you need
