Itinerary – 15 days
Day 1 - Arrive Delhi
Meeting and assistance on arrival and
transfer to hotel.
In New Delhi, visit the Qutab Minar,
Humayun’s Tomb, drive past India Gate and Parliament House.
In Old Delhi, see the Red Fort, Raj
Ghat and Jama Masjid.
Day 2 - Delhi – Mandawa by surface (268 kms / 6 – 7 Hrs)
Drive to Mandawa. Arrive and check in
at the hotel.
Later in the day proceed for a visit
to the Shekhawati region to see painted mansions.
Day 3 - Mandawa - Bikaner by surface (170 kms / 4 – 5 Hrs)
This morning drive to Bikaner. Arrive
and check in at the hotel.
Later in the afternoon proceed for a
sightseeing tour of Bikaner visiting Junagarh Fort and a Camel breeding farm.
Day 4 - Bikaner - Jaisalmer by surface (333 kms / 7 – 8 Hrs)
Drive to Jaisalmer. Arrive and check
in at hotel.
Day 5 - In Jaisalmer
In the morning proceed for a sightseeing
tour of Jaisalmer, an intricately moulded wonderland built in burnished
sandstone. Visit the fort built by Rawal Jaisal and the Jain temples.
Late afternoon excursion to the Sam
sand dunes. Enjoy a camel ride and take in the views of the desert landscape.
Day 6 - Jaisalmer-Jodhpur by surface (290 kms / 6 – 7 Hrs)
Today you will drive to Jodhpur.
Arrive and check in at the hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 7 - Jodhpur-Ranakpur - Kumbalgarh by surface (177
kms/4-5 Hrs)
In the morning proceed for a
sightseeing tour of city visiting Meherangarh Fort and Jaswant Thada. Within
the fort are some magnificent palaces.
Later visit Jaswant Thada – a cluster
of royal cenotaphs in white marble.
After city tour leave by car/ coach
for Ranakpur to see the Jain Temples built in the 15th century, situated
in the Aravali valley.
Later, leave Ranakpur by car/coach
for Kumbalgarh.
On arrival, check in at hotel.
Day 8 - Kumbalgarh-Eklingji-Nagda-Udaipur by
surface (105kms/3 Hrs)
Morning explore Kumbalgarh fort.
Later, leave Kumbalgarh by car/coach
for Udaipur en-route visiting Eklingji and Nagda temples. Nagda has one of the
ancient Palaces of Mewar dating back to the 6th century AD. The celebrated
temple of Eklingji was built in sand stone and marble for the tutelary deity of
the Maharanas of Mewar. On arrival at Udaipur, check in at hotel.
Day 9 - Udaipur
Morning proceed for a city tour
visiting the City Palace and Jagdish Temple. Also visit the Sahelion Ki Bari.
Later, drive around the Fatehsagar
Lake.
Late afternoon enjoy boat ride on
Pichola Lake.
Visit the island palace Jag Niwas.
Day 10 - Udaipur - Deogarh by surface (135 kms / 3 – 4 Hrs)
Drive to Deogarh.
On arrival check in at the hotel.
Later proceed for a walk through the village.
Day 11 - Deogarh - Jaipur by surface (280 kms / 6 – 7 Hrs)
Drive to Jaipur. On arrival, check in
at hotel.
Day 12 - Jaipur
Morning proceed for an excursion to
Amber Fort. Amber is a classic, romantic Rajasthani fort Palace. A major
attraction at Amber is the elephant ride all the way up to the fort entrance.
In the afternoon go on a sightseeing
tour of the city, visiting Maharaja’s City Palace.
Later, visit the Jantar Mantar, which
is the largest stone and marble crafted observatory in the world.
Day 13 Jaipur – Agra via Fatehpur Sikri by surface (250
kms/5-6 Hrs)
Drive to Agra en route visiting
Fatehpur Sikri built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 and abandoned after 15 years due
to scarcity of water.
On arrival at Agra, check in at the
hotel.
Day14 Agra – Delhi via Sikandra by surface (203 kms / 4 – 5
Hrs)
Morning proceed for a sightseeing
tour of city visiting the Taj Mahal built by Shah Jahan in 1560 in memory of
his queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains.
Later, visit Agra Fort, containing
the halls of private and public audiences and other palaces. Later drive to
Delhi en route visiting Akbar’s Tomb at Sikandra, located in a large walled
garden on the road to Delhi.
On arrival at Delhi, check in at the
hotel.
Day 15 - Departure Delhi
In time transfer to the airport to
board flight to onward destination.
